How to get SwagBucks referrals (or any other referrals for GPT sites)

I will break this guide into TWO parts, online and offline!

1. Tell your friends!!

You can do this offline and online, but I find that when you ask your friends ONLINE to join, they dismiss it as spam and that someone has 'hacked your account' and is using a bot, so talking to your friends and family face to face will most likely work better!

Another reason why this technique works great is because you don't have to look for them, they are already there, trusting you and waiting for you to show them the ropes on how to earn money on GPT sites!

2. Put a sign on your car!

You don't need fancy signs, but what you do need is a large piece of cardboard or paper, and a marker. Write something catchy (eg. free iPhone/cash/WHATEVER) and put your referral link next to it. 

Imagine, how many people are driving behind you in a regular commute? Probably 50, maybe even 100! Now, if only 1% join and are active, that means that everyday you get at least two referrals! It works great!

3. Flyers/Business cards

These are an 'old school' advertising method. However, don't put the flyers on ANY stationary item, target your core demographic! Now, for GPT sites, usually your target audience will be teenagers, the tech savvy and needy, those without a job or can't be bothered to find one! 

Ideal locations include- libraries, colleges, high schools, supermarkets, bulletin boards, cafes, toilets, anywhere! 

However, the best place seems to be the urinal! Now before you guys exclaim in disgust, this is actually a very good way to get referrals! When you are 'doing your business' and staring ahead blankly, why not take the time to read something on the wall! More than likely, your attention grabbing slogan will hook them in and they will take notice of your link! Works like a charm!

4. Write on cash notes (dollar bills)!

This might be a little sneaky, but I remember reading somewhere that the average dollar bill gets passed around at least 100 times before it is finally binned/lost. That means, if you write your link on 100 dollar bills, your referral link will go through 10,000 hands!

5. Ambush Marketing

Stick your business cards in books relating to making money at home, technology, computers, jobs in the library and whoever opens that book will find your link! 

6. Stick your business card in the card slot of an ATM!

This means that the next person who wants to withdraw money has to take out your card! Now if your business card was effective and attention grabbing enough, then they will at least look at your link for a split second before (hopefully not) throwing it away!

How it works...

To earn points, you watch 'app trailers' (the gold ones normally pay between 10-30 points, but can't be replayed, whilst the blue ones can be replayed, but give 2/5 points). Then, if you watched a gold video, you can download the app, which will give you 90-300 extra points! 

You can also gamble your points for scratchers. There are 4 different amounts of points you can gamble for scratchie cards- the Daily Free scratcher, 10 points (win 50 points), 100 points (win 500 points), or 1000 points (win 5000 points). All scratchers where you pay money give you a 1/7 chance of winning, whilst the free daily scratcher has a 1/2 possibility for you to win a varying number of points (15-35 points). 

Referrals will also earn you points. Currently, you will receive 250 points if you enter someone else's bonus code, and the referrer will earn 1000 points. 

Prizes

Points on App Trailers can be redeemed for gift cards, Amazon gift cards, or if you're like me ;) COLD HARD CASH in the form of PayPal!! The current rate is 10 points = $0.01, so a $1 Amazon gift card will cost 1000 points. Yippee!

(NOTE: Your account email must match your PayPal email, and your PayPal account must be verified before receiving payments. Don't worry, they charge you $2, but they refund you the money when you are verified (: ). 

Issues

I did have a few issues with App Trailers. 

Firstly, my verified PayPal email showed up, upon cashout, as 'not verified', which confused me to no end. I finally came around to contacting customer support, who promptly responded saying they have fixed the issue and I could now receive PayPal cash. 

A few weeks later, when I redeemed 3 Amazon gift cards, a message saying "Daily cap reached, wait 24-48 hours for the code" appeared. Confused, I waited for 3 days, then emailed App Trailers. They later fixed the issue. 

Review Roundup

Overall, App Trailers is a great app- if you are a good promoter, or just a normal Joe who has lots of time, you can earn about $5 minimum with the app if you are committed. Hey, it's free money, so why not give it a go? Contrary to most other reviews, their support was very prompt and quick, replying within hours of sending them an email. App Trailers gets two big thumbs ups from me!!

How to EARN EASY and RELIABLE extra income!!

Hey guys! This is my first blog post EVER so if you guys want to leave constructive feedback, feel free to do so! :) I just thought I wanted to share this WONDERFUL site with y'all, and spread the love! OK, enough yapping..

What is SwagBucks

SwagBucks, in a nutshell, is a website where you receive virtual gift cards (Amazon, PayPal and Walmart seem to be the most popular) or physical prizes (PSP's, iPod Touch) for things you already do on the Internet, such as searching, completing offers and playing games!

Is it a scam? How can they give away almost 2 MILLION dollars worth of free stuff?

One word- Marketing.... You give them valuable information about you, your household, your shopping habits, your thoughts on an upcoming product, they SELL this information to companies, and receive money, which they can use to give you goodies! So, it's NOT a scam! As you can see above, I've redeemed 2 $5 Amazon gift cards within 5 days!

How do you earn SwagBucks?

There are MANY, let me repeat, MANY ways to earn SwagBucks. 

Use the Search Engine

Searching is the obvious one- when you search, you have a chance to earn 5-1000 SwagBucks. It seems (well for me at least!) that the best time to earn is during midnight (USA Time) - I usually get two search wins from 12AM to 1AM. Besides midnight, try to search NATURALLY. Sorry to break your heart folks, but entering asdfasdf and other jibberish isn't going to help you! It will more than likely get you banned! 

Usually you will get around 4 search wins a day, sometimes as low as 2, and other times as high as 5. Try to space it out- if you enter 20 searches and don't win, come back in an hour or so. If you DO win, you most likely won't get more search wins for about 2-3 hours. 

Daily Poll/NOSO

• Daily Poll- Daily polls consist of one random question with multiple choice answers. Answering the poll will give you 1 free SB (SwagBuck). I can almost hear you all complaining "ONE SB?! That's pathetic!" but remember, it all adds up, and that's the name of the game here. It builds SLOWLY.
• NOSO- "What on earth is a NOSO?" It stands for No Obligation Special Offer, and you can tell how it works from its name. You are under NO obligation to complete or view the offer. It will get you more SB, but you don't HAVE to. If you wish, you can press skip and get 2SB for your troubles. 

Remember, these two only take about 1 minute to complete, so that's 3 easy SB a day! 

Special Offers/Trusted Surveys

• Special Offers- In this section, you complete offers from offer walls such as SponsorPay, Peanut Labs or RadiumOne. Usually, they involve watching a video for 1 or 2 SB, answering a survey, signing up for a website or installing a program. This is where I got the majority of my SB from. Also, fight for your SwagBucks! I've had many offers not credit, all I had to do was give proof and you should be credited. 
• Trusted Surveys- These pay a lot of SwagBucks, but don't be phased if you are disqualified. They want answers from a SPECIFIC demographic section of the community, so if you don't fit their criteria, you are disqualified. But don't worry, there is bound to be a survey that fits you, and if you fill out your profile (which gives you SB too!) then you WILL get more survey opportunities.

SBTV

Here you watch videos to earn SwagBucks. There is a daily cap of 75SB per day. Watching 10 videos will earn you 3SB, so you will have to watch 250 videos to reach the cap. It is slow, but if you keep at it, you will earn a substantial amount of SwagBucks.

Games

If you love playing games, you can try your hand at SwagBucks Games. There are paid tournaments where you bet your SB to earn lots of SwagBucks. There is a daily cap of 10SB a day from playing games (not including tournaments). I find it's not for me but you can try it if you like. 

Swag Codes

Swag Codes are great! They are like some sort of 'treasure hunt'. If you find the code before it expires and enter it in the Gimme box, you can earn usually 5-10 SwagBucks. Easy-peasy!

Goals

A goal system is also a primary source of SwagBucks- say, if the goal was 50SB, if you reach it, you will get 10% of the goal- 5SB. If you reach the daily goal 7 days in a row, you receive 25 SB + the original bonuses. Reach it in 14 consecutive days- 100SB, 21 days, 200SB, and if you do it for the whole month (kudos!) you earn a whopping 300 SB! Now that's what I call a goal!

And Finally.. Referrals

These can earn you a ton of money without doing a thing! By referring your friends, you can earn up to 1000 *matching* SwagBucks, which means that if your referral earns 1 SwagBuck from searching, you do too! It can add up quickly if you are a good promoter!

Verdict

This is easily my favourite online rewards program. You can earn your SwagBucks passively, just by using the search bar and completing the daily tasks, or you can go all out, filling out every offer, referring all your friends, and reaching the goal each day. That's what I love- it's up to you!

Here's an estimate of how many SwagBucks you earn in a month if you do the bare minimum each day!

Searching- 15SB

So this amounts to about 15 SB a day, which will be 450 SB a month! Now that doesn't sound like a lot, but that's enough for a $5 Amazon gift card. Hey, you're getting paid for doing what you normally do, why not!
